Tuesday 22nd May

Book Night is the one night of the year when readers can get 'together' (online) to show their love of reading. Readers of all ages can join in - from home, work, school, and of course at the Libraries!

All you need to do is grab a book (or e-book), read for fun for 15+ minutes, then place a star on the interactive Booknight map to enter the prize draw. (Comments and photo/selfies welcome!)

Booknight is run by Book Discussion Scheme, NZ's only nationwide book group specialist (non-profit).

Here are the events at Dunedin Public Libraries - come along and join in with the joy of reading:

The Very Much Dunedin Book Night

Dunedin UNESCO City of Literature and Dunedin Public Libraries invite you to join us for a celebration of Book Night 2018, by enjoying a selection of all the fabulous books based in Dunedin or written by our wonderful Dunedin writers, drawn from the Libraries’ “City of Literature Collection”.

With performed readings by Suitcase Theatre, and a highlight of standout features, come along, read a sample or two and discover the rich tapestry of literary works, from past and present Dunedin-based writers for adults, young adults and children.
