Presented by the Continued Sense of Wonder team, this final session for 2018 brings together a select group of children's publishers, literary agents and editors to reveal the hidden world of children's publishing.

Bring a question you need answered, and continue the adult conversation about children's books.

Guest panel:

  • Anouska Jones is the publisher at EK Books, the children's picture book imprint of Exisle Publishing. She is also a reviewer and author.
  • Barbara Else is an author of fiction and non-fiction, and also co-director of the TFS Assessment Service, and literary agent.
  • Frances Plumpton is a literary agent, in 2016 she managed the Dunedin UNESCO City of Literature stand at the Bologna Children’s Book Fair. Formerly a children’s librarian, and a judge and convening judge of NZ Children’s Book Awards. She is a founding member, and current trustee, of Storylines Children’s Literature Charitable Trust of New Zealand.
  • Raymond Huber is a children's author and freelance editor. He was the Otago Children’s Writer in Residence for 2018.

And our guest MC is Bridget Schaumann, librarian at King’s High School, Dunedin. Past president of SLANZA and a judge of the 2018 NZ Children’s Book Awards.
