National Poetry Day: A Question of Poets

In partnership with the Otago-Southland NZ Society of Authors, Dunedin Public Libraries invites you to celebrate National Poetry Day at our annual gala event.

Seven seasoned poets, some youthful vigour and a clutch of fresh-faced beginners mark the ingredients for a poetry-filled evening, with a selection of readings and a hearty discussion of what it means to be a poet.

Hosted by Diane Brown, with special guests: Emer Lyons, Iona Winter, Michael Stevens, Jonathan Cweorth, Rhian Gallagher, Alison Glenny and Majella Cullinane, plus the winners of the Dunedin primary and high school poetry competitions 2018.

University Book Shop Otago will be there too, so you'll have the opportunity to purchase some beautiful poetry books to take home. (EFTPOS available)

Drinks and buffet supper served during the interval. PRIOR BOOKING ESSENTIAL FOR CATERING PURPOSES.

TICKETS: $5 (Bookable in person, at your local library)
