Gaelic Society Library Collection
The Dunedin Public Libraries received two donations of material in the Scots-Gaelic language from the Dunedin Gaelic Society in 2003 and 2007.
The collection of approximately 235 items includes primers and dictionaries, song books, scrapbooks, resources on learning Scots-Gaelic, and religious works such as a 19th-century edition of the Gaelic Prayer Book.
Journals are also included, with 19th and early 20th-century editions of An Gaidhel and a run of the periodical Tinne from 1986 to 1994.
