Enter your Burns-inspired poetry before 30th November

Dunedin Public Libraries are running two poetry competition currently, inspired by Robert Burns, and offering significant cash prizes, thanks to our generous sponsors.

The Dunedin-Edinburgh Sister City Society are sponsoring the first prize of $500 for the Rap Like Robbie poetry competition for teens, which is open to young poets aged between 12 and 14 years of age, or who are in years 9.10 and 11 of high school.

The Otago Scottish Heritage Council are sponsoring the first prize of $1,000 for the published section of the Robert Burns Poetry Competition for adults; while the Dunedin Public Libraries Association are sponsoring the first prize of $500 for the unpublished section of the Robert Burns Poetry Competition for adults.

Both competitions are running concurrently and entries close on 30th November 2018.
