BookLink
BookLink is a secure lending library app that allows people who are blind, have low vision, or who have a print disability to download audiobooks from the Blind Foundation Library. In order to use BookLink, you must be registered with the Blind Foundation as a member or as an associate member of the library.
Find out more about the app here: https://blindfoundation.org.nz/how-we-can-help/library/booklink/
Audiobooks in the collection cover a wide range of subjects and include both fiction and non-fiction books. The collection also includes a good selection of New Zealand books that have been narrated in the Blind Foundation’s studios. With the BookLink app there is no need to wait until a title is available as it allows for simultaneous multi-user access.
Audiobooks can be downloaded directly to an Apple mobile device and once downloaded can be read without requiring an internet connection.
The Booklink app is available from the App Store.
Dunedin Public Libraries staff can provide support with the registration process and/or using the app. Visit your library or fill in a
Book a Librarian form.
