Saturday 16th February, City Library
Dr Mike Dickison is currently New Zealand Wikipedian at Large, on a one-year grant from the Wikimedia Foundation to help people and institutions better engage with Wikipedia. He is giving a talk and running a Wikipedia editing workshop for the Ōtepoti arts community to help increase the visibility of NZ artists. These free events are hosted by the Blue Oyster Art Project Space and Dunedin Public Libraries. You don't need to be a Wikipedia editor or an expert on NZ art: anyone can help with editing, researching, proofreading, and adding photos.
Dr Dickison will be running a hands-on workshop at the Dunedin City Library on Saturday 16th February, where the group will create new articles and add photos.
There's also a virtual meetup for Dunedin Wikipedians and interested folks at Eureka on Wednesday 13th February, 4pm on.
