Librarians got loud for Loud Shirt Day

Our hardworking Library Social Club often beaver away behind the scenes to encourage Library staff to support our community by fundraising. It was fun to see us getting into the spirit of Loud Shirt Day recently to help raise money for deaf children with cochlear implants or hearing aids. We did it because we love to do good work for people who need it - it's in our Library DNA and why we work in Libraries in the first place. So it was a lovely surprise to find we'd won a prize from the Loud Shirt Day for our colourful effort! We will put the headphones to good use and staff will share them to listen to some great talking books in our lunch breaks.
