Heroes of the Holocaust: Music, as Defiance at the Terezin Camp

Presented by the Dunedin Jewish Congregation, in partnership with Dunedin City Library.

Hear compelling stories about this form of defiance from Dr Laurence Sherr, an internationally recognized Holocaust music lecturer, composer, and educator. Includes his photo documentation, eyewitness videos from his survivor interviews, and musical examples. Concludes with stories of Dr Sherr’s family in Europe during the Holocaust and a live performance of his composition Elegy and Vision featuring Heleen du Plessis, cello.
