Making our services accessible

At Dunedin Public Libraries you can:

  • Book a Librarian – go to the book a librarian page to book one on one assistance with a librarian.
  • Borrow large print books
  • Take out talking books - books on CD’s and Playaways (preloaded audio players)
  • Borrow captioned DVD’s
  • Access our Digital Library – as well as a range of eBooks, eAudio, and eMagazines, we also offer a range of digital resources available in library and at home.
  • Use our Click and Collect service - fill in the Click and Collect form to let us know the sort of library items you would like included in your bag. You can choose up to 10 items, these will be selected for you by our knowledgeable staff.  Bags can be picked up at any of our libraries on specific days and times.

Other services you might be interested in:

  • Print access membership – designed for customers who need more than 28 days to read a book. More information about this membership can be found on our Home Service page.
  • Books on Prescription – books, eBooks and sound recordings recommended by health professionals.

City Library

  • Free parking is available in the City Library basement carpark after 6pm Monday to Saturday and all day on Sunday. Charges apply at other times.
