Every library needs friends. Among Dunedin Public Libraries' closest allies is the Dunedin Public Libraries Association, better known as the Friends of the Library. The Association was formed in 1890 to establish a free public library for the citizens of Dunedin. Today we still enjoy an active and supportive membership.
