This citation is presented to Allan Barnes on 16 December 2008, in recognition of his contribution to the promotion of Dunedin Public Library’s cultural heritage collections.
As a volunteer during the last six years, Allan has diligently catalogued over 3,000 items in the Portobello, Whitman, Reed Printing and Johnson collections.
Allan’s commitment was particularly valuable in the years when funding was not available for this work.
Allan’s work is of permanent benefit to people locally, nationally and internationally providing access to otherwise hidden resources.
